FAQ

Basics
Is Laptur free?

Yes. Laptur can be used without signup or payment. Open the Timer, choose a task, and check in.

What is the difference between Tasks and Work Time?

Tasks is where you plan pending work and choose what to run. Work Time shows the saved sessions and time recorded after work is completed or stopped.

What happens if I close the tab?

Laptur saves the active session in local browser storage. When you return in the same browser, the recovery flow can restore that session.

Privacy
Is my data private?

Laptur stores standard session, task, active timer, and preference data locally in the browser you are using. It does not require a Laptur account or cloud workspace.

Will clearing browser data remove my logs?

Yes. Export important workdays before clearing browser data.

Export
Can I export to Excel?

Yes. Select an available workday on Export, download its CSV, and open the file in Excel or Google Sheets.

Can I save a workday card?

Yes. Select a completed workday on Export and choose Print / Save PDF to save or print its branded card.

Troubleshooting
Can I use it on mobile?

Yes. Laptur's pages and timer controls adapt to modern mobile browsers. Data remains local to the browser and device you use.

Why did my timer reset?

Check Out closes the current workday and prepares the timer for a new one. Completed sessions remain in Work Time unless you clear them or remove browser data.
