About Laptur

Built for Doing the Work

Laptur is a local-first work timer for people who want a clear start, one active task, and a useful record at the end of the day.

The idea

Less setup. More accountable work.

Work tracking can become another job: accounts to configure, dashboards to manage, and reports to maintain. Laptur takes a smaller approach. Check in with a task, work with the timer visible, take breaks without mixing them into focused time, and check out when the workday is done.

The turtle-lap metaphor marks each completed hour while the workday record keeps the exact session details underneath. The goal is not to fill the screen with analytics. It is to make progress understandable and give the day a definite shape.

Daily workflow

One task at a time

The Task Deck holds pending and completed work, but only one task can run at a time. Completing a task saves its session without ending the entire workday, so the next task can begin with the same daily totals and lap progress.

Your record

Review and export

Work Time shows saved sessions, focused time, breaks, and laps. After checkout, Export can produce a CSV for structured records or a printable workday card that can be saved as a PDF.

Local-first

No Laptur account required

Standard task, session, active-timer, and preference data is stored in the browser on the device where Laptur is used. That keeps the core workflow immediate, but it also means browser data can be removed and does not automatically follow you to another device. The Privacy Policy explains the storage model, and exporting important workdays provides a separate copy.
